Meetings In Jubail

Jubail, the so called twin city of Yanbu, terletak disebelah pantai timur KSA manakala Yanbu di sebelah pantai barat. Jubail juga di kenali sebagai Sabic city kerana terdapat 13 syarikat affliate SABIC di bandar ini. Penerbangan dari Jeddah ke Dammam (airport yang paling dekat dengan Jubail) mengambil masa 2 jam. So, from Dammam to Jubail took another 45 minutes. Mula-mula tu ingat nak stay kat hotel disitu, tapi tukar pikiran bila dah berjumpa dengan kawan-kawan dari Malaysia ni.
Malam pertama tu aku dok kat rumah Zaki and the gang kat atas ni. Dari kanan- Hafiz , Zaki (empunya blog dzalkafya), Hasrul (empunya blog frienzeedebug), aku, James dan another Zaki. Thanks guy for your hospitality.
Esoknya aku ada meeting kat Intercontinental Hotel, terletak di Fanateer, RC dan selepas lunch aku ke Petrokemya pulak.
Makan-makan di restoran turkistan bryani. Zaki, Hafiz, Sopian (alias mata, respect sama dia pasal baru je 2 bulan kahwin dah ditinggalnya bini tu), James, Zaki, Bashir (ex-Petronas), Mokhtar & Hasrul.
Si Hafiz & Zaki (acong) asyik menyelit je nak interframe, sebelah kiri aku Hj Shafiee dan Khairudin (thanks Din for belanja kita orang semua makan). Dia orang semua ni kerja kat Saudi Kayan. It is one of the latest SABIC affiliates.

Anyway, I was so delighted with the warm hospitality given by them. Malam kedua aku tidur kat rumah Hj Shafiee, Mokhtar, Pian, Bashir dan sorang lagi lupa lak nama dia.

Dua-dua malam aku kat Jubail ni tidur pukul satu lebih... nice dapat jumpa engkorang semua. Nanti kalau datang Makkah, jangan lupa bagitau kita orang yang kat Yanbu ni, bolehlah kita plan buat gathering Malaysians Yanbu-Jubail pulak....

Since dah bercerita pasal Jubail, here are some descriptions about Jubail Al-Sinaiyah that I extracted from Saudi Networks.

Located near the oil producing area, it was found suitable as the site of the world's largest petrochemical complex.
Jubail industrial city has been divided into five zones:

1.The Industrial Zone has nineteen main factories with 136 ancillary installations, and produces steel, aluminum, plastic and fertilizers under the supervision of the Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC). This zone covers an area of 8,000 hectares, or approximately eighty kilometers. In catering to diverse needs, SABIC leases fully developed and fully equipped industrial sites at nominal rents.

2.The Residential Area is composed of eight localities built on an adjacent island linked to the mainland. There are 40,000 inhabitants. The area has the capacity to accommodate 375,000 people in modern up-to-date houses.

3.The Airport Area, covering an area of 250 kilometers, has the capacity to receive all types of aircraft and handles the transportation of passengers and freight.

4.The Picnic Zone, situated to the West of the industrial zone, covers an area of 204 kilometers. To the residents of the city, it is an invaluable recreation area. It encompasses verdant sites, playgrounds and facilities for water sports. The zone is set among abundant trees and rare plants.

5.Al-Batwah Island is affiliated with Jubail Industrial city. A picnic site with a park and a zoo, it features plant nurseries, fishing sites and a marina.

The main projects in Jubail under SABIC are the following:
1.The Saudi Iron and Steel Company (Hadeed)
2.The Saudi Methanol Company (Al-Razi)
3.The Jubail Fertilizer Company (Samad)
4.The Jubail Petrochemicals Company (Kemya)
5.Saudi Petrochemicals Company (Sadaf)
6.The National Methanol Company (Ibn Sina)
7.The Arabian Petrochemicals Company (Petra-Kemya)
8.The Oriental Petrochemicals Company (Sharq)
9.The National Industrial Gas Company (Gas)
10.The National Plastics Company (Ibn Hayyan)
11.The Saudi-European Petrochemicals Company (Ibn Zahr)
12.The Saudi Chemical Fertilizer Company (Ibn Al-Bitar)

  3. Dubai kira ok la jugak sebab free trip. Duduk pun kat 5 star hotel. Tapi macam tak meet expectation aku le. Banyak sangat bangunan tak siap. Development laju tapi trafic jam teruk kat downtown. Tak macam kat arab pun sebab kat mana2 jumpa foreigners je. Imagine kalau economic crisis effect diaorg. Bangunan dgn lrt lines kalau tak siap, sure hodoh bandar ni nanti.
